Digital Marketing Coordinator

About Us: VR Kingdom is a new VR entertainment venue opening in Sydney next month, that aims to be the premier VR destination in Sydney. We will be offering high quality multiplayer, free-roam virtual reality experiences that are immersive, engaging, unique and fun. Our first venue is based in Rosebery, Sydney where we will offer VR escape rooms such as Escape the Lost Pyramid (Set in Assassins Creed Origins) and Huxley which are both award winning VR experiences. We will also have VR shooting/adventure games with a zombie or sci-fi theme. We have partnered with world-renowned game makers such as Ubisoft, Exit VR and Deep VR which will be exclusive to VR Kingdom in Sydney.

JOB TITLE: Digital Marketing coordinator

JOB TYPE: Full Time

What we are looking for? 

We are looking for an experienced candidate to help us with our  manage our digital marketing campaigns, social media accounts, community management and engagement.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role with the knowledge and experience to create and launch new campaigns across various target market segments on our social media platforms.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The digital marketing coordinator will work with the directors and managers of the company to create and run campaigns on digital media platforms to increase awareness and promote sales. They will coordinate, administer and manage our digital marketing and advertising campaigns  content creation and community management. The digital marketing coordinator is instrumental in managing the company’s content-related assets

Administration and management includes but is not limited to:

Support marketing planning

  • Execute VRK’s existing marketing strategy and plan
  • Further develop strategy, objectives and targets for our marketing campaign
  • Support and manage promotion of brand awareness and online reputation
  • Manage others to curate and create content  
  • Develop a posting schedule for the various segments we intend to target.

Manage all marketing campaigns

  • Create and run paid digital marketing campaigns such as Facebook Ads, Google Adwords etc. 
  • Manage blogs, newsletters, 
  • Email direct marketing to promote leads and sales 
  •  Turning fans into customers by creating posts, campaigns and advertisements.

Measure marketing performance

  • Analyse trends, success of campaigns and campaign analytics

About you:

You will be a result oriented individual with a passion for marketing and a keen drive to learn new things.

Qualifications: 

Formal qualifications are preferred but not required for the right candidate however experience in this field and with platforms  such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Adwords and tools like Hootsuite or the like, are essential.

 Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines 
  • Able to identify and adapt to new trends in marketing and digital platforms 
  • Able to learn and master new techniques

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The digital marketing intern will work with the marketing team of the company to run marketing campaigns on several digital media platforms to increase awareness of the VR Kingdom brand, its games and experiences and also to generate sales. They will coordinate  and support our digital marketing, advertising and community management. The job responsibility includes but is not limited to:

Coordinate content creation

  • Coordinate and create content for regular publishing on respective platforms
  • Write and proofread copy of marketing materials
  • Create and implement a content creation strategy and schedule
  • Analyse results on performance of different content and platforms and determine the best content, time and audience for each respective platform.

 Support all marketing campaigns

  • Support digital marketing campaigns such as social media posts and advertisements, blogs, newsletters, promotion emails etc to promote leads and sales
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely fashion
  • Support online reputation management in answering queries or resolving negative social media sentiments.

About you:

Game Master

JOB TITLE: Game Master

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Facilities Supervisor

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The most important role of the game master is to be a VR Kingdom customer ambassador who will help us deliver our promise of immersive, engaging, fun and unique free roam virtual reality experiences to our customers.  The game master is responsible for customer engagement from the moment the customer walks through the door to the moment the customer leaves the premises. The game master is responsible to ensure that the customers have a good experience  at VR Kingdom not just while playing the game but also during check- in, in game, debrief and during the photo session.

This will be achieved by 

  • Welcoming customers and ensuring all the mandatory paperwork has been completed before commencing the game 
  • Explaining the safety requirements and rules for all players 
  • Explain what to do if anyone feels uncomfortable or needs help
  • Playing a briefing video 
  • Explain how to get hints or assistance during the game
  • Helping players put on the VR equipment, check it is fitted properly and working well.
  • Explain how the equipment works
  • Take photos of players
  • Adhering to each days time schedule so that the games begin and end according to the booking schedule
  • Start the game, check in with all players to ensure communications are working
  • Supervise the game at all times. At no time should a game be left unsupervised
  • After completion of the game, help players remove the equipment
  • Debrief with players
  • Take photos of players if required
  • Encourage players to write a review about their experience
  • Once players have left, sanitise and put the equipment onto charge if required
  • Anything else that may be required to be done by the game master

All employees are required to

  • Ensure that the premises and environment are safe at all times for staff and customers and do whatever is required to ensure it is compliant with our safety standards and all of our policies and procedures
  • Abide by all workplace health & safety requirements 
  • Refer to management issues or solutions where required
  • Escalate any issues they cannot resolve themselves to management 
  • Report any incidents 
  • Other tasks as directed by the facilities manager/supervisor

About you:

The game master role requires someone who is friendly, outgoing and engaging and is willing to do whatever is required for the customer to have a good experience. This may also require patience, compassion and consideration. The role requires someone who is results oriented and diligent with attention to detail. 

The key requirement is a good attitude, willingness to learn and be willing to work as part of team.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in customer service or other relevant experience
  • Competent with IT systems, MS office and general workings of a computer
  • Experience in managing customers in a retail environment will be advantageous
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • All of the above are ideal but not essential for the right candidate

Facilities Supervisor

JOB TITLE: Facilities Supervisor

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Company Director

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Facility Supervisor (FS) is a central role at VR Kingdom. The facility supervisor supports the day to day operations at the venue. The facility supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the staff at the VR Kingdom venue and ensure the safe and smooth operation of the facility. A key component of the VR Kingdom value proposition is an excellent customer experience so the facility supervisor is responsible for making sure this happens from the time the customer books, checks in, plays the game and then after game photos. This will be achieved by providing leadership and management and by supporting the staff in going the extra mile to ensure our customers have a good experience at VR Kingdom.

An outline of some of the roles and responsibilities of the facility supervisor includes but is not limited to: 

  • Create and manage the roster schedule according to the weekly requirements for the venue including game masters, reception and cafe staff 
  • Supervise and manage all staff during their shift
  • Coordinate and manage leave, entitlements and absence of staff
  • Undertake inductions and onboarding for new staff and ensure all mandatory training is completed within the required timeframe
  • Mentor and provide guidance to new staff as required
  • Ongoing training and development of staff 
  • Advise management of areas where additional training is required
  • Supervise and manage the operation and management of the cafe (no food preparation skills are required)
  • Act as the escalation point for any issues that arise either with customers or staff
  • Ensure all VR experiences are run on time in accordance with the booking schedule. If a game or booking is running behind schedule, take the necessary steps or actions to get back on schedule
  • Stock control for the venue
  • Supervise the venue to ensure the safety of customers and staff 
  • Supervise and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Attend to any maintenance or emergency issues related to the venue
  • Manage refunds or rebookings in accordance with company policy.
  • Deal with all customer facing issues
  • Deal with any issues or emergencies relating to customers or staff
  • Provide management with advice on areas where there are process or operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement 
  • Implement, administer and manage all workplace health & safety policies and procedures
  • Implement, administer and manage all company policies and procedures
  • Refer all matters outside the scope or authorisation of the facility manager to senior management 
  • Complete and compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports 
  • Monitor KPI’s and metrics as established by the company 
  • Report and manage all incidents, issues and complaints,
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems and VR equipment at the venue
  • Any other roles and responsibilities as required

About you:

Qualifications:  

No required qualifications for applicants that has the right attitude, willingness to learn with a hardworking and can do approach.

Experience:

The preferred candidate will be experienced in the management of running an office or facility and manage staff or teams. Customer service experience is also preferred.  However this experience is not essential for the right candidate.

The facilities manager will need to be well versed with all the games and experiences. They will need to understand the operation so that they can assist the game masters to operate the games and fix any minor issues that are required to get the game up and running again. This is limited to basic computer skills, no major IT experience is required as training will be provided for this but it is important that the facility manager be comfortable using computers.
